Dear Friend,
Regardless of where in the world you're located, I'm guessing you can sense the shifting mission of education.
Whereas the traditional mission has been very much binary in nature (i.e. college or career prep) …
The new mission is more broadly-based on equipping our youth with the tools and mindsets they need to participate in a lifelong-cycle of learning and contribution (i.e. whole-learner development).
In America, for example, this new mission was formally codified through the Common Core State Standards Initiative – the landmark 2010 federal academic guidance adopted by much of the country:
“… the Standards lay out a vision of what it means to be a
literate person in the twenty-first century. Indeed, the skills
and understandings students are expected to demonstrate have
wide applicability outside the classroom or workplace.”
Speaking personally (and perhaps you agree), I think this is a positive shift. And I’m certainly not alone …
The education ecosystem is full of organizations and advocacy groups – such as Turnaround for Children, Learning Forward, XQ Super School, and many more – that do a wonderful job of not only bringing excitement and awareness to this new mission …
But also outlining the skills and dispositions that students must develop to effectively support it (example below):
The problem is, despite the widespread enthusiasm for this new mission, there’s still very little in the way of pragmatic tools and resources that schools can leverage to realistically implement it.
And as a result, the shift away from the traditional academic model is happening (if at all) much more slowly than I think most of us had hoped or expected.
And that’s precisely why we created The Learning Blueprint … a
practical (yet tremendously effective) tool that schools can leverage
to support a broader, whole-learner approach to education.
Designed for students aged 14-21+, The Learning Blueprint is an award-winning metacognition program which helps young learners take agency over their own thinking, learning, and self-management practices.
Not only does this align their interests with wider school ambitions of high-achievement and whole-child development, but it addresses an enormous gap left unfilled by federally mandated academic standards.
If academic standards are what students should learn,
metacognition describes how students can learn.
Unfortunately, when schools neither prioritize nor integrate metacognitive development alongside traditional academic activities, students are left without a ‘language of learning’ or the basic tools for engagement.
They instead become dependent on adult-driven procedures and routines rather than their own talents and motivations.
On the other hand, three decades of research has
shown that students who develop strong metacognitive skills
typically excel in academic settings …
… especially at the high-school and college levels, where many teacher scaffolds and supports are removed.
Moreover, these same students go on to experience more success beyond the classroom in myriad ways, from professional to financial to interpersonal.
Which makes The Learning Blueprint a uniquely powerful resource for schools that want to embrace the new mission of education in a way that pushes beyond the theoretical.
That being said, I urge you to continue scrolling down to learn more about the program …
And, if you like what you see, I'd love the opportunity to chat with you about how it might work for your students (there's an option to schedule a meeting near the bottom of this page).
Thank you for reading, and I sincerely hope I get an opportunity to speak with you.

Dear Friend,
I have no idea how you got to this website.
Maybe you read about it in some publication. Maybe a friend referred you to it. Perhaps you stumbled onto it by pure dumb luck.
Regardless, I'm glad you're here because, as a parent, I know you'll be excited about what The Learning Blueprint can deliver.
But first, I'll bet right now you're wondering two things:
Well, we could address these questions by bombarding you with impeccable credentials, glowing testimonials, rock solid proof that our program improves student outcomes, and an irresistible offer to top it all off.
And, in fact, we WILL do all of these things if you keep
scrolling down this page!
However, I don't want to lose your attention before you get to the good stuff, so let me get straight to the point here.
As a loving parent – and I know you’re a loving parent or else you wouldn’t be reading this – it’s your natural instinct to want to help your children learn, grow, and succeed.
And, when they are young, there’s no shortage of tools and resources to help you do this important job effectively – from stacks of workbooks, to mountains of flashcards, to untold educational games and videos.
But unfortunately, when your children get older and hit adolescence, there are far fewer options to turn to …
And this despite the fact that – with mounting levels of teenage stress and depression – they need our support more than ever during this difficult life-stage (although they might not always admit it).
Well, right now I'm coming to you with a rare and precious parenting gem in the form of The Learning Blueprint!
… an award-winning metacognition program with a proven track-record of helping students of all abilities achieve more success in-and-beyond the classroom.
With The Learning Blueprint, your child will:
But how is this all possible, you ask?
Through the magic of metacognition!
Which begs the obvious question, what is metacognition?
Well, in technical terms, metacognition is the set of mental processes that we all use - with varying degrees of mastery - to plan, direct, and assess our own understanding and performance.
It includes an external awareness of our thinking and learning, as well as an internal awareness of ourselves as thinkers and learners.
But, to put it more plainly, metacognition is what all of us should have explicitly learned and developed back when we were in school … when we were young, full of energy, and busy charting the course for our future lives.
Metacognition is what organizations like the OECD, The World Economic Forum, and Google say is THE skill to possess for the future of work and education.
In short, metacognition is the missing ‘How To’ manual that all
high schools and colleges should be handing out like hotcakes
to every incoming student as soon as they walk in the door!
Because not only do strong metacognitive skills correlate to more academic success (which schools should care about) …
But they deliver SO MANY MORE powerful and enduring benefits (which schools should also care about) that can help our children lead richer, more fulfilling lives:
But wait, you may be asking, isn’t metacognition already taught in school?'
Well, the short answer to this important question is NO.
The reasons for this are many, but simply put, schools were not designed to teach children complex, higher-order skills like metacognition.
They are difficult to measure, difficult to test, and consequently difficult to fit into a schooling model based on compliance and standardization.
Now, this may change in the future – and we sincerely hope it does …
But until that day comes, The Learning Blueprint will be an invaluable resource for families who appreciate the immense power that comes with developing strong metacognitive skills at young age!
Okay, last thing from me …
So you know what metacognition is and why it's valuable, but you may be wondering, 'Why should I choose The Learning Blueprint over other options?'
Well, quite frankly, because there really aren’t any other options.
This might sound like bragging, but it’s actually true.
Go ahead and Google ‘Student Metacognition Program’. You’ll find no shortage of articles touting the benefits of metacognitive skills, as well as some resources loosely aimed at helping teachers integrate metacognition into the classroom …
But you won’t find any explicit, practical, and comprehensive metacognition programs designed specifically for adolescent students.
And, even if you do, we are supremely confident that The Learning Blueprint will deliver superior results for your child given our long and proven track-record of delivering results to thousands of students across hundreds of schools.
So, I urge to sign your child up for one of our upcoming sessions:
Upcoming Sessions
August 29th | September 12th | September 26th
You can continue scrolling down this page to learn more about the program … and you'll find a registration form near the bottom.
If you have any questions, please check out our FAQ section … or email my team directly at info@lmeglobal.net.
Thank you for reading, and I sincerely hope I get an opportunity to work with your child.
Regards/Jared Cooney Horvath, PhD, MEd
P.S. We recently upgraded and expanded The Learning Blueprint, and we're celebrating with a discounted re-launch … which means now is the perfect time to take action!
PLUS, you'll see below that we're throwing in some great bonus items … one of which I know your child will benefit from almost immediately.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ...
The Learning Blueprint has been an incredible learning tool for my daughter. I make sure she knows how fortunate she is to be learning this amazing information so early on, and for the personal awareness she is gaining from it!
Dr. Horvath was very engaging and entertaining teacher who made me look forward to each new session. Overall, The Learning Blueprint was an amazing experience that I’m so happy to have participated in!
I loved learning about how my brain works. The Learning Blueprint is the course that makes all other courses easier! The ideas I took away for learning, studying and test-taking have all been extremely helpful.
Learning why and how my brain works was way more helpful than someone just handing me a random list of academic success tips. I never studied much before this program, but now use many of the strategies taught by Jared.
My twin boys had the good fortune to go through The Learning Blueprint at their High School during Freshman year. They both raved about the program, and have since done very well academically! Thank you @JCHorvath.
TLB has been hugely successful for the students at our school. The data has shown improvements in study practices and exam performance. I highly recommend to any school that wants to engage learners and boost performance.

So much of schooling is organized around exposing students to ever increasing amounts of stuff, and then testing them on it. Collecting dots. Too little is focused on teaching them the skills necessary for connecting dots. The Learning Blueprint addresses this issue.
... as measured by the percentage of students who, after completing the program, demonstrate an increase in BOTH their learning/academic mindset AND their ability to successfully identify key thinking/learning concepts and strategies (data obtained through statistically valid pre/post assessment).
The Learning Blueprint is fully scaffolded, and includes interactive lectures, guided reviews, reflection questions, recall exercises, recognition quizzes and application activities.

TLB DELIVERS TANGIBLE RESULTS
From 2018-2020, over 1,300 Year 9 students from dozens of schools across Victoria, Australia completed The Learning Blueprint. The post-survey results were outstanding, as students displayed a statistically significant growth across a range of important learning-attitudes. Moreover, the one school that shared pre-and-post term grading data reported an average GPA growth from 3.02 to 3.19 among ~170 participating students.
In the Spring of 2020 (during an extended COVID lockdown) a cohort of Year 11-13 ESF students completed The Learning Blueprint. ESF is the largest English-medium school organization in Hong Kong. The results were very positive, as students posted an average score of 80% on a key learning concept quiz after completing the course – versus 46% beforehand. Students also showed significant growth with regard to identifying key academic strategies.
From 2017-2019, Genazzano FCJ in Melbourne, Australia participated in The Learning Blueprint program (student and teacher programs). Genazzano is a private all-girls Catholic school serving ~1,000 K-12 students. During this period, the median student ATAR score increased from 85.5 to 90.0, while the percentage of students whose ATAR score exceeded 90.0 rose from 36% to 50% (highest in school history).
