Hi there. My name is Jared Cooney Horvath. I work with teachers and schools from across the globe to help them achieve better outcomes by bridging the gap between the lab (theory) and the classroom (practice).

In America, 20+ years of standards-based education reform has triggered a surge in teacher PD spending (Boston Consulting Group estimates this amount to exceed $18B per year all-in). Outside of America, the trend is similar.

Unfortunately, this investment is not paying off, as student performance has remained stagnant over this time.

At this point, the research is pretty clear that our current approach to teacher PD is not working as well as we'd like it to.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, over 80% of K-12 teachers participate in one-time workshops each school year, making it by far the most prevalent form of PD.

Nevertheless, most teachers believe such PD offerings are not relevant, not effective, and most important, not connected to their core work of helping students learn (Boston Consulting Group).

Despite good intentions, it's simply an unfortunate fact that few teacher PD programs are effective at changing teacher practice and impacting student outcomes.

But there is good news, which is this ...

Even though it is mostly ignored by PD developers (because it's economically beneficial to do so), there's a significant body of evidence describing what effective teacher development looks like.

And, with that in mind, my team and I have developed The Learning Blueprint (TLB). Based rigorously in the Science of Learning, TLB is a teacher PD program that delivers measurable results.

Combining 30+ years of established learning research with 10+ years of classroom implementation, TLB changes teacher practice and boosts student outcomes by leveraging what actually works in PD.

If you'd like to learn more about the program, I urge you to get in touch with my team and schedule a demo (email: info@lmeglobal.net).

However, allow me to quickly make one more personal point here ...

In my estimation, the single factor that most commonly derails PD programs is they are overly simplistic and prescriptive. "Here's a list of proven classroom tactics listed in order of their effectiveness -- now go forth and prosper" they say.

While this is certainly a convenient way to organize and sell training programs, it's a rotten way to change teacher practice -- and frankly, it is blatantly dismissive of how complex quality teaching can be.

And this fact is not lost on teachers ...

With The Learning Blueprint, we start from a position of respect and deference to the teacher.

Sure, we make it a priority to cover the most useful and impactful applications from the Learning Sciences. But our goal is never to simply hand teachers a simplistic, one-size-fits-all solution.

Although surface-level tips and techniques may be useful within narrowly-defined contexts, they often fail to translate to novel contexts and unstable conditions.

Instead, our goal is to help teachers ‘take ownership’ of these applications -- which, in turn, means that they can confidently adapt, modify and personalize them to their unique and ever-changing situations.

We recognize that teachers are the experts! It is not our place to tell teachers how to do their job, but rather to help them do their job more effectively across a broader-range of contexts.

With that said, if you'd like to learn more about the program, I urge you to get in touch with us to schedule a demo.

And, of course, if you have any questions or comments, please reach out and let us know (email: info@lmeglobal.net).
